Some new and exciting cat toys?

I’m going on holiday in March, and my parter and I have decided to leave our cat at home and get a pet sitter to come through once a day to check on her and give her food/change litter and have a little play etc etc.

We are going for a week, and my kitty usually goes outside during the day to have a play but she is going to be confined inside for that whole week. What sort of toys or ideas can you suggest I leave out for her to help ease her bordem? I want to get the sitter to change them around so its exciting for her as well.

Thanks =)

    We give our kittens ping pong balls, especially in the bathtub.

    Pet stores sell these things on a stick that appear to look like big black spiders. Even my dog (Australian Shepherd) wants to play whenever I bring it out. I have an older cat and at night I distract the two kittens (6 & 7 month old) while the 14 year old eats and uses the litter box in peace. It would be perfect for the pet sitter to use.

    Another thing the pet sitter could use is a laser pointer.

    When we go out of town I like to leave something of mine out for the cats to sit on like a shirt or robe. I just like the thought that if they miss me they can always go lay on that garment.

    Have the sitter leave on a radio or something during the day or a while at night for company.

    Also make sure there is extra water since the kitty will be inside the whole week.

    Have a great vacation.

    I have 21 housecats and their favorite toy is a tunnel. They love running through tunnels as well as sleeping in them. They also like to play with rattle balls. I just got my cats rabbit feet keychains and they love them. They even put them in their cat beds with them at night.

    try tying a toy rat to a piece of string and drag it around so she’ll chase it around.

    How about some potted pet grass for kitty to eat? I think most pet stores carry it :) Not really a toy, but might be a nice thing to keep an outdoor kitty busy inside ;)
